Incorporating Your "Something New"

As we mentioned last week, we're suckers for tradition. We also shared some sentimental ways to incorporate Something Old into your wedding. But the old English rhyme has much more to it. Something New represent a couple's future life together. Here are some Something New ideas for your new beginning.

New Perfume or Lipstick.
Start your married life with a new scent or lipstick shade.

Your New Name.
If you're taking your husband's last name, you can start using it immediately. Monogram a handkerchief or embroider it on the inside of your gown. Plus points if it's a little surprise to your new spouse!

A Fab Cape.
Getting married during chilly temps? Layer over your dress with an amazing (faux) fur coat or cape to keep the look bridal and stay warm in style.

Matching Tattoos.
This is for all our rad brides and grooms out there. Your love may already be forever, but you can celebrate even more by inking it together.

Lucky Penny.
Place a shiny, new lucky penny, minted in the year of your wedding in your shoe or wrap it up in the ribbon that surrounds your bouquet.

Lingerie.
Or, you can save your “something new” for your partner’s eyes only.
