Couples are constantly trying to find new ways to personalize their wedding. Some are effortlessly coming up with untraditional food displays, while others may feel a bit overwhelmed trying to be "unique." Not every part of a wedding has to be reimagined. We think switching up a few key elements during your ceremony can make your day feel fresh and unforgettable. After all, it will be the first thing your guests see. We've put together some ideas to show you that there is a whole world outside of an aisle with straight rows of chairs for guest seating.
You can literally surround yourself by your loved ones by rearranging the chairs into a semicircle or ring around you. This can really elevate the feeling of inclusivity of a ceremony. This couple took this idea one step further and arranged the chairs in a swirl so that the bride and groom have to walk past every guest.
Forgo the chairs completely and instead bring in picnic blankets and rugs. Mix in poufs and pillows for a comfy, casual bohemian ceremony. We love how this couple added bottles of wine and snacks to get the celebration started.
Who says only church ceremonies can have pews? You can even add a few chairs or benches into the mix to make things even more interesting.
If you don't think grandma will appreciate sitting on the ground (understandably), opt for a chair outside the standard white-folding variety and instead go for a clear ghost chair or mismatched vintage loveseats.
Or just go completely wild with a combination of all different types of seating.
